Which is the superior game Elden Ring or Dark Souls 3?

Dark Souls 3 will be released in 2016. I never played 1 or 2, but I hear its the ultimate in tough sword fighting combat. Can anyone describe exactly how the combat systems differ? I love Witcher 3 combat, wondering how it could be any better.
